jen stark

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

it’s very early in the morning and the kids haven’t woken up yet, so i’m taking the time to post something in my poor little neglected blog.

jen stark creates lovely paper sculptures.

this one, called “how to become a millionaire in 100 days” she made of 1,000,000 pieces of hand cut paper.

i’m finishing this post in the evening. uri’s asleep and noah still isn’t back from his music class.

I took two pictures of each person - one with opened eyes,
the other with closed eyes. I then integrated the two pictures into
one portrait, resulting in the calm but unnatural expressions
seen here.

Laura Plankser’s A M A Z I N G dioramas

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Roadside Scholar always finds the most beautiful things. This time she featured in her blog the amazing dioramas of Laura Plankser, A Los Angeles based photographer.

From her website:

Laura continues trying to create a photo-diorama that one day she might crawl into and never return.

(My favorite is the unlucky bunny)

I love these dioramas!!!! Thanks, Gigi!
