Noah explained the phenomena to Uri, cause it was the first time ever for him to see rain.

After he was satisfied that Uri understood, he rushed out with an umbrella.

productive kids

Today Noah won an Olympic medal for some very impressive jumps on the sofa.

He needed a place to rest so we made a tent out of beddings, chairs, pillows and an excersise mattress.
From the tent he had a very good view to the tv and watched about 3000 road runner cartoons.

Noah wasn’t the only productive kid in the house today.

Baby Uri made me a very proud mother today for having pooped at least three times. It has a very nice yellowy color, i have to say.

Uri deserves a new title: Colonel Mustard.

btw, i’m going to add an additional letter to Uri’s name. actually two. In hebrew it’s just one.

More about that some other time.

good night

i guess that’s a good reason.

come to think of it, i’m so tired

unproductive night post

i have to go to sleep.

i wish i was focused and organized. instead of using wisely the little time i have between the kids, i keep installing new browsers and playing with twitter and blip. very unproductive.

Noni got back from Denmark yesterday and brought Noah and me lots and lots of candy: Marcipan and Nougat and Wienerbrod. I am going to be so fat. I’m already way overweight because of the pregnancy. I know it’s normal and it’s really ok by me, but I don’t have to go wild and eat like a pig all day. this is only making it worse!!!!

He also brought uri a really cute toy I want to post about here. cause Uri has three very nice toys now that deserve a post. i will do it tomorrow.

now back to the nice book i’m reading now: Glennkill by Leonie Swann.

Did I mention I have new glasses?

i never realized how much time i had to myself with a single child.

these days i can’t even go to the toilet without having something or someone trying to yank me out of there before i’ve had a chance to flush.

all the mothers. they never complained. they never said a word.

i’m playing around with tools for busy people like me, like twitter, blip.fm and jaiku.

sweat city

it was hell today in tel-aviv.

i was running late to pick up Noah, and i was doing it with a baby in my arms.

The tel-aviv summer in 32 degrees celsius, which might have been somewhat bearable, if it weren’t for the humidity. 70%.

I was dripping, melting, sweating, swimming in sweat.

Shalom Auslander sweats too

I did it!

Today I went out of the house.

It’s not the first time I leave the house since the birth (it’s the third), but it’s the first time I leave the house alone with the baby to get Noah from the kindergarten.

That’s a very big achievement for me because i don’t like going out of the house at all, baby or no baby, especially not in the summer.

The whole operation was very badly organized and i was late to pick up Noah (first time ever!), because 15 minutes before they close the kindergarten I was still breastfeeding at home. But all-in-all I have to say the experience was very exciting, and less hot and complicated than I anticipated.

this is noah standing near the remains of our old washing machine. it broke when the baby was born and we bought a new one with a digital display and a timer and automatic weight. it actually weighs the laundry and knows how much water to use. unbelievable!

any way, noah helped james disassemble the washing machine so james can take it down the stairs. he enjoyed it so much i didn’t say a word about the time. it was way past his bed time.

the newest addition to our family was born on wednesday, july 16, 2008. he still has no name. i want to call him ira, but james doesn’t like the name. he suggested itamar, which i don’t want. I asked noah what he thinks we should call the baby and he said “the baby who likes milk”.

i was released from the hospital saturday but i didn’t feel like posting.

when i came home, i decided to start fresh, and marked the thousands posts in google reader as read. you cannot imagine how hard it was for me to do.

today i carried the baby in a sling (i think that’s what it’s called) and could read some posts and even found something to tell about in my blog.

that’s for the next post.
