Laura Plankser’s A M A Z I N G dioramas

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Roadside Scholar always finds the most beautiful things. This time she featured in her blog the amazing dioramas of Laura Plankser, A Los Angeles based photographer.

From her website:

Laura continues trying to create a photo-diorama that one day she might crawl into and never return.

(My favorite is the unlucky bunny)

I love these dioramas!!!! Thanks, Gigi!

You can reach her other cool works by hovering over miscelleneous items lying around in a huge open drawer. I really like the presentation.

Village Pet Store And Charcoal Grill

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Banksy has opened a new pet shop in New-York.

Instead of hampsters and parrots you will find there a leopard lounging on a tree, a rabbit putting on her makeup. Also, breaded fish swimming in a bowl and chicken Mcnuggets sipping barbecue sauce. Both seen in the photos above.

filthy lucre is at it again

“Complex Shit”, a giant inflatable dog turd by American artist Paul McCarthy blew away from an exhibition in the garden of the Paul Klee Centre in Berne, Switzerland, bringing down a power line and breaking a greenhouse window before it landed again.
