the newest addition to our family was born on wednesday, july 16, 2008. he still has no name. i want to call him ira, but james doesn’t like the name. he suggested itamar, which i don’t want. I asked noah what he thinks we should call the baby and he said “the baby who likes milk”.

i was released from the hospital saturday but i didn’t feel like posting.
when i came home, i decided to start fresh, and marked the thousands posts in google reader as read. you cannot imagine how hard it was for me to do.
today i carried the baby in a sling (i think that’s what it’s called) and could read some posts and even found something to tell about in my blog.
that’s for the next post.

What a stunning addition to your family! Congratulations!
I had the pleasure of helping to name my newest nephew post-delivery a few months ago, as he came home with no name, too. My adorable 4 year old niece was insistent on naming him “Silver Surfer” (of comic book fame). We all settled on Jacob.

Congratulations!
I am assuming he has a name by now, but if not, how about Levi?
If it’s good enough for Matthew McConaughey, it may be good enough for you.

Wrong assumption. I just heard of a couple who still haven’t named their two year old girl. she answers to “little one”. i don’t want us to be that couple! Levi sounds good in English, but it doesn’t really work as a first name in Hebrew. Did you know that Levi is the most common surname in Israel?
