this week yotam sent me a link to snopes, urban legends refference pages.
snopes is divided to sections like food, music, politics etc. the statements are then marked as true / false / undetermined and more… here are a few examples:
a mixture of coca cola and mentos killed two brazilian kids - false
eating celery results in negative calories- true
they also post stories purely because they appeal to the readers. they don’t vouch for the reliability of these stories. here’s a nice one:
A Texas death row inmate with a history of mental problems pulled out his only good eye and told authorities he ate it.

yotam sent me a link to nina saunders’ morphed furniture ages ago.
nina saunders takes traditional furniture pieces and morphs them beyond practicality.
i don’t know why i haven’t posted this yet. guess i waited for the right moment.
have a great week!

You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a leprechaun, a monster, a cap’n, a tiger, and a rabbit. Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Cereal Club.”
there’s also the girl who didn’t dress bright in the dark and a third one is coming soon, according to adfreak,

two days ago, when noni came home from work he noticed pjuske was barely breathing.
he rushed her over to the animal hospital where the doctor determined the cancer had spread too much.
during the surgery she stopped breathing and noni had to decide whether the doctor should try and revive her. it was not an easy decision to make, but noni finally decided to let her go.
yesterday i accompanied him to bury little pjuske. we buried her between the cypress trees circling a field of yams.
pjuske originally belonged to my aunt, nina.
nine years ago nina got sick and had to go to the hospital for checkups. she asked me to watch over pjuske while she’s away.
nina never got better and pjuske stayed with me for a while. but we didn’t get along too well, so after a while she moved to my brother’s where she was much happier.
i know it’s naive, but we take comfort in believing that nina was waiting for her and that pjuske has finally returned home.
i like to credit the people who refer me places, but sadly i can’t remember how i got to malingering’s world which, in my opinion, is an excellent blog.
malingering testifies: i take the photos in a (futile) attempt to expose the ridiculous world around me.

in the post there’s trying and there’s trying too hard she writes:
hate to tell you this, but your baby doesn’t appreciate the effort you put into your makeup this morning. In fact I’m guessing it thinks you look a little trashy. That’s what it would say if it could talk. But babies can’t talk, they’re stupid.

earlier this evening my beautiful new sweatshirt was stained by random spills of bleach lurking about in the house.
since this happened before the kids went to sleep, i constrained my anger and just wondered how and why.
i tried very hard not to become bitter.
my new conduct allows me to release my anger after 9pm, but when the time came, i didn’t feel angry - just very pissed.
