waiting Originally uploaded by superbomba
very relevant photo i saw in daddy types. I wish things were still like this today. last time was about to give birth, for some reason the staff decided i want my parents in the delivery room with me, and so I had james sleeping on the floor and my mom and dad from each side of my bed. not very apropriate, i think.
btw, this is the first time i’m posting through flickr. how does it look?

week 39
Sunday, June 29th, 2008went to see my doctor today. the baby still wont budge. he’s getting big, so he’s got to get out soon or he’ll be too big for me to give birth vaginally. i will tell him later today that he may now come out. I didn’t want him to come out before, but now I understand that he has to. I will try and instruct him on how to do that properly.
so I think he’ll probably be born tomorrow or by tuesday. contractions haven’t started yet, but i can arrange for them to start later today, with the power of my mind. i am not joking, so maybe i’m a little naive or even stupid.
can’t have them start before tonight because Noah has invited me today to an open music class, to celebrate the end of the season. He really loves this class and it’s very important for him and for me that I come see it.
Other than that, it’s euro 2008 final tonight and James wants to watch it with friends.

washing detergent ad
Friday, June 27th, 2008neatorama posted today about a very clever ad for washing detergent. the detergent sample was mailed across thailand packed in a t-shirt wrapped box. the address was written on the shirt along with postal stamps. as predicted, the postal service almost ruined completely the t-shirt and if the recipient wanted a new clean t-shirt, they had to use the sample detergent. that’s briliant and i like the fact that the company has such confidence in it’s product.

tuly
Thursday, June 26th, 2008there’s something i’ve been meaning to tell you.
i have a cat. her name is anna frank, but nobody calls her that, everybody calls her tuly.
she was named anna frank because at first, when she decided to adopt us, we still had two dogs (that’s for another post) and she used to live in a box behind the blinds. every time our dogs would come sniff the area, i would close the blinds and tell them there’s no one there. eventually we all lived happily together.
here she is in my red envirosax shopping bag:

look! Robert Bradford made a terrier out of clothes pegs.
He makes sculptures out of used toys and he’s even made a 6 meter high big ben out of coca cola cans.
